"And where does the newborn go from here? The net is vast and infinite."
Ghost in the Shell resin Statue, 1/4 scale, measures approx. 27cm by Bandai.
From the popular anime film "Ghost in the Shell" comes a polystone figure of Motoko Kusanagi. The figure is based on the film's main visual illustration, and the production of the figure has been supervised by the film's animation supervisor Hiroyuki Okiura and color designer Kumiko Yusa.
Based on the manga "The Ghost in the Shell" by SHIROW MASAMUNE where the story takes place in 2029 in a dystopian cyberpunk world, the series then became a media franchise consisting of four animated films, three animated series, video games and most recently the adaptation with Scarlett Johansson.
The contrast between the soft, skin-like appearance of her artificial body's exterior and the hard internal structures exposed on her back and other areas is a sight to behold, even when viewed up close. The use of varied materials across the figure makes for a high-quality product that one could describe as an art piece, even as a mass-produced item.
