Jar Jar Binks

Hailing from the planet Naboo, Jar Jar Binks (portrayed by actor Ahmed Best) is a member of the native Gungan people. He first appeared in The Phantom Menace after a chance encounter with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his young apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

After helping save his homeworld during the Invasion of Naboo by forming an alliance between Rugor Nass and Queen Padme Amidala, he would become a pivotal figure in the Clone Wars as a Junior Representative in the Galactic Senate.

Notably, Jar Jar Binks helped pass the bill that allowed Supreme Chancellor Palpatine (who would come to be known as Darth Sidious) to form the Grand Army of the Republic. These actions would eventually lead the Gungan to become an outcast to his people once more due to his role in helping the Galactic Empire rise to power.
