The Spinosaurus (meaning "spine lizard") is a large-sized carnivorous theropod dinosaur, of which the species Spinosaurus aegyptiacus is the largest known carnivorous dinosaur in the 21st century. It has a body length of 12 to 20 meters, a hip height of 270 to 400 centimeters, and a body weight of 4 to 26 tons. It lived in the Cretaceous North Africa, about 114 million years ago to 65 million years ago. Distribution areas include Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, etc.
